Job Description

The best candidate will be a Professional (Civil) Engineer with at least seven years’ experience in the design and management of land development projects. Experience in building and maintaining client relations, business development, delegation of responsibility, and the ability to mentor subordinates and junior engineers are some of the accomplishments we are looking for.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

The Senior Civil Engineer, in conjunction with their team, will be responsible for the oversight and management of the following:

•   Coordinate land development plans and approvals

•   Coordinate NPDES Permits

•   Coordinate zoning and approvals process

•   Design of storm water management facilities

•   Site design, grading, and erosion and sediment control plans

•   Design/layout site utilities 

•   PennDOT/DEP permitting

•   Cost estimating

•   Plan reviews of subdivisions and land development projects

•   Project coordination and communication with clients

•   Preparing project proposals and managing contracts, reports, and invoicing

•   Recruiting/hiring/mentoring junior engineers

Job Requirements

•   B.S. Civil Engineering or related field

•   Professional Engineer license

•   Prior land development experience required (7+ years)

•   Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills

•   Prior project and client management experience

•   Knowledge of AutoCAD (civil 3D, etc.)

•   Valid driver's license - for travel to client sites/meetings

•   Ability to attend evening meetings

•   Ability to obtain clearances (for PA school projects)
