We have an exciting full-time opportunity in our Missoula, Montana office for a Mechanical HVAC & Plumbing Engineer. 

Opportunity: 

This position will work innovatively and collaboratively with the firm’s full-service Mechanical, Electrical, Structural Buildings Market Group, as well as with the Civil Engineering disciplines within Morrison-Maierle to create comfortable, healthy, energy efficient, sustainable, and productive spaces.  Our team approach to buildings and structures promises to deliver final projects that are coordinated, cost-effective, sustainable solutions that will meet the needs of our clients for the long-term. 

This position will provide a rewarding opportunity for a person driven to exceed client and firm expectations in the areas of business development, project management, project delivery, undertaking the technical work associated with engineering design; leading and mentoring junior engineers.  Project management, client service and team leadership skills are fundamental to this position and the firm’s daily environment.

Project Types:  Airports, Higher Education, K-12 Education, Municipal, Healthcare, Government, Hospitality, and Mining.

Responsibilities:

Leading business development initiatives (proposal development, interviews, presentations, etc.) and coordinating efforts with other members of the firm’s Building Market Group.

Develop, foster and maintain strong relationships with present and potential clients.

Mentoring junior engineers from a client service and technical development perspective.

Managing scope, schedule, budget and personnel for all mechanical engineering aspects of a projects.  Projects include, but are not limited to, designing, planning, scheduling, conducting/coordinating detailed phases of studies, investigations and preparation of contract documents, energy studies and improvements, sustainable design elements and other components for buildings and facilities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.  

Minimum of 8 years’ experience, preferably in Architectural Engineering industry.

A professional engineering (PE) license is required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Service oriented and excited to work in a team environment.

Experience with REVIT/BIM, AutoCAD, and LEED certification are a plus. 

Must have a valid driver license and insurable driving record.

Salary:  $80,000 - $100,000/year

Location:  Missoula, Montana - Relocation allowances are available.
