Job Description

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

    • Performing assignments requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks
    • Developing judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities through assigned tasks
    • Exercising judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives
    • Preparing engineering related calculations, design drawings, specifications, and visual aids
    • Assisting with fieldwork (e.g., groundwater and soil sampling, well installation, and contractor oversight)
    • Collecting and entering data, and apply technical principles and theories
    • Interpreting and recording data, conducting analyses, comparing findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance and draft reports based on observed conclusions and professional judgment
    • Task manage portions of larger projects and mentor junior level staff or interns
    • Operating and maintaining remediation systems
    • Building analytic and design skills
    • Conducting engineering design under the supervision of an experienced Engineer
    • Creating designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced Engineer
    • Collecting and analyzing data under the supervision of an experienced Engineer
    • Using computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems
    • Performing work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule under supervision



Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering
    • Valid State Driver's License
    • Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous internship experience with an environmental consulting firm
  • Demonstrated technical writing abilities
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience
  • Previous modeling experience
  • In pursuit of or have already obtained EIT
