Job Description
-Performing as a resident roadway design engineer that will provide statewide design services on numerous projects.
-Performing work as a senior engineer on preliminary and final highway design.
-Independently deciding on engineering/scientific problem and methods.
-Acting as a mentor for junior level employees.
-Actively participating or assisting in new business development by contributing to strategic planning, marketing, and business operations planning.
-Planning, developing, coordinating, and directing a large and important project or a number of small projects with many complex features.
Minimum Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in civil, transportation, or structural engineering.
-Professional engineering (PE) license.
-Experience: 7 years of related experience.
-Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
Preferred Qualifications
-FL PE license.
-OpenRoads experience.
-Experience as a PM or Task Manager on FDOT facilities.
-Local agency highway project design experience desirable.
