Highway Design Engineer

What You Will Do

Gannett Fleming is looking for an experienced Highway Design Engineer to join our team in the Greater Boston area. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with an experienced team of project managers and engineers in the region, responsible for providing roadway design and construction-phase services for a wide variety of public transportation projects, including roadway and intersection improvements, bridge replacements, drainage and grading improvements, toll facilities, intelligent transportation systems, and highways and interchanges. Successful candidates will possess experience that includes: the preparation of roadway geometric design; plans production design including the design and preparation of final engineering design of roadway plans; development of horizontal & vertical geometry; preparation of plan & profile plans, typical sections, roadway cross sections, drainage plans, signing & marking plans, traffic signal plans, and maintenance of traffic plans; utility coordination; sub-consultant coordination; and staff supervision.

Education | Experience:

Minimum Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• P.E. registered in Massachusetts required.
• Must have a minimum of 5 to ten(10) years of engineering experience possessing a broad knowledge and experience in transportation/design and strong technical skills in highway design.
• Experience working with Mass DOT is required and experience working with MBTA and Mass Port is highly desired.
• Must be proficient and have experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation. Inroads and Microsoft Office.
