Project Architect

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop innovative, creative, integrated, and effective design solutions, with an ability to become an integral part of design teams and guide concept and ideas from pursuit and selection through successful project completion
• Have a vision, a positive attitude, and team-building skills while developing design
• Understand code and cost implications of design decisions to ensure that design proposals are viable and compliant with project goals
• Assist in project approvals through various municipalities in the valley
• Independently coordinate design with the multidiscipline project team through multiple phases of a project
• Conduct internal design/work sessions in conjunction with the project team, coordinating with the work of other disciplines
• Coordinate workload of team members through multiple phases to complete design deliverables on schedule
• Provide construction contract administration assistance as needed to maintain design intent through construction
• Direct the activities of other junior designers and mentor other staff members as needed

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture
• Registered Architect preferred
• 8+ years of experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project Schedule)
• Experience with Bluebeam Revu
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in the use of Autodesk Revit and knowledge with related tools and processes, familiarity with BIM360 a plus
• Demonstrated graphic presentation skills
• Experience in preparation and layout of architectural contract documents and specifications

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of project leadership experience in a variety of project types
• Experience in the areas of multifamily, both mid-and high-rise projects
• Interest in sustainable design/LEED Accreditation strongly desired
• Knowledge of Enscape3D, Photoshop/Affinity Photo products, Grasshopper, SketchUp, and other appropriate modeling and graphics programs
