Looking for Architects with 5 plus years of experience, with experience in single family and multi family residential projects. Construction document experience and detailing experience is important.Currently on our boards we are working on a 129 unit apartment building with an 800 unit building coming up next year.
We also have several large custom homes that we will be moving through construction documents, interior design and detailing that will be fun to work on. The firm does highly detailed drawings so we are looking for architects that really enjoy design and detailing and understand how to detail designs. Exposure to construction and furniture making and craft is very important.
Autocad architecture, revit, sketch up skills are important.
And all of our project architects have to communicate with clients via email often so written English skills are important.

License is a plus, but not a must. Salary will depend on experience and ability.

We provide architectural design, interior design, masterplanning, and historic preservation services and specialize in full project management for our clients. Since 2005, most of our work has been single family homes. From smaller crafted interior projects, to large additions and renovations, to truly unique custom homes, we apply our honed process to help our clients to make every decision on a cost informed and design informed basis. We have developed a specialty in vacation homes and now a third of our work is out of town in the beaches, bay and mountains surrounding the Washington DC area. From ski homes at Snowshoe, WV, to mountain homes in the Shenandoah Valley, to waterfront homes in the Northern Neck in Virginia and Maryland waterfront, we have lots of fun projects to work on. Inside the DC beltway, we have a specialty in renovating historic homes, keeping historic character, while adding modern amenities and features to improve urban living. In the past few years, the firm has moved back into some specialty commercial projects, including renovating multi family common areas and lobbies for a few clients, designing a new 129 unit multi family building, a few restaurants and other miscellaneous commercial. The unifying feature of all of our projects is we care about proper design and craft, and our process where we do intensive pricing efforts up front, to avoid VE of completed drawings. This allows us to focus crafted design efforts only where there is budget to support them. We are blessed with a great client base that will pay for design. We have 5 full time and 3 part time employees and are currently hiring for two positions.
