Job Description

Loureiro Engineering Associates is seeking an Electrical Designer/Engineer for our Plainville, CT office. Enthusiastic and energetic, the successful candidate will ensure that clients’ needs are met with the highest quality and the most intelligent engineering solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Senior Project Manager and the MEP staff to produce design packages;
  • Design electrical components for industrial, educational and commercial facilities. Systems to include power distribution, lighting, communications, fire alarm, security and controls.
  • Research product information under the direction of the senior project manager.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university;
  • 3-5 years’ experience in drafting and designing electrical power, lighting and low voltage systems for a variety of industrial, commercial and institutional clients;
  • Experience with AutoCAD a must, with experience using Revit and NEC preferred;
  • Knowledge of CT State Building Codes important;
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented work environment;
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Applications;
  • Connecticut EIT desired.
