Watearth's Civil Engineer must be able to work independently with good written and oral communication skills, manage small to medium projects, mentor and manage staff engineers, and creatively solving problems. They will work directly with our clients and participate in business development. There is significant opportunity to advance into a Project Manager position.

Roles and Responsibilities:

This position is for a full-time employee of Watearth and working on a variety of projects with a focus on civil design related to site design stormwater, Low Impact Development, water quality, design of stormwater and water resources facilities, and water conservation. Projects can be in a variety of locations where we have offices although travel is not usually required. Candidate is expected to be a licensed Professional Engineer in state of residence.

 

Minimum Experience Requirements

* Civil Engineering experience, with a focus on stormwater and site design preferred

* P.E. license in state of residence required

* 4-8 years experience required, with demonstrated experience with design and construction drawings and bid packages

* Experience with AutoCAD as demonstrated in resume or in work product

* Construction phase or Stormwater inspection experience required

* Experience with water resources modeling preferred

This is a full-time position and is to be filled as soon as a qualified candidate is identified. We offer flexible office locations and telecommuting, as well as some flexibility on hours, with required core hours each weekday to meet our Central Time Zone and Pacific Time Zone needs (may require greater than 40 hours some weeks to meet deadlines).
