We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to be in charge of details across multiple large-scale, custom mechanical parking projects. You will be involved with all facets of design decision making, tracking any and all changes as projects progress from concept to commissioning. In addition to design documents, you will need to understand and manage municipal permits and approvals, patent applications, shipping status and overall bookkeeping. You will interface with building developers, architects, engineers, and parking system manufacturers, to ensure the final product meets client needs.

THIS IS NOT A SOFTWARE / TECH PROJECT MANAGEMENT ROLE. You must be comfortable working with a variety of subcontractors. Communication and real-time on-site problem solving are essential. You must have a forward-leaning personality, able to move forward with ever-changing daily tasks.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Evaluate worldwide mechanical parking systems, products and applications
  • Take part in all project related client meetings, take detailed notes
  • Develop solutions by studying customer requirements
  • Review construction documents for clash detection and any other issues
  • Track any and all design issues over time
  • Work with company engineers to understand site and material limitations
  • Communicate frequently with subcontractors to ensure plan clarity
  • Help maintain project time frames and status reports
  • Understand and stay in front of municipal regulations and required permits
  • Ensure all project-related bookkeeping stays up to date
  • Travel as required (Western U.S.)

Experience and Skills

  • Strong communication skills with internal and external teams
  • Fluent in English
  • Highly organized, excellent time management
  • HIGH ATTENTION TO TECHNICAL DETAIL
  • Familiar with construction diagram software programs
  • Able to multitask with a strong understanding of core duties
  • Desire to learn the details of all types of semi and fully automated parking solutions
  • Experience in architectural and or construction industries

Education

  • BS or related degree
