The Austin Office of the Lawrence Group is seeking an energetic, confident, and highly motivated Architectural Project Manager. Qualified candidates will demonstrate experience in commercial projects within various markets. This experienced professional will have full responsibility for proactively managing all aspects of exciting new projects, bringing the schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion while maintaining client satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination:
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and other project stakeholders to define project goals, objectives, and design requirements.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including budgets, schedules, resource allocation, and procurement strategies.
- Coordinate and manage project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout all project phases.
- Conduct regular project meetings to track progress, address issues, and provide updates to stakeholders.
- Monitor project performance, identify potential risks, and implement proactive measures to mitigate them.
Design and Documentation:
- Review architectural designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with client requirements, building codes, and regulations.
- Collaborate with architects and design teams to develop detailed construction documents, including plans, elevations, sections, and details.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of design documentation and coordinate with relevant parties for timely approvals.
Project Execution and Quality Control:
- Oversee the construction process, ensuring adherence to design intent, quality standards, and industry best practices.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and equipment.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, address any issues, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Implement quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of craftsmanship and workmanship are maintained.
Project Financial Management:
- Develop and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking, and forecasting.
- Review and approve project-related expenses, change orders, and invoices.
- Monitor project financial performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement appropriate measures.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
- Professional licensure as an architect is highly desirable.
- 7+ years of experience as an Architectural Project Manager, overseeing complex architectural projects from concept to completion.
- Proficient in in Revit/BIM.
- Proficient in architectural design software and project management tools.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
