Electrical Engineer

Job Requirements:

 Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, majoring in Power and Energy Systems.

• Able to read/understand single line diagrams.
• Familiar with different electrical equipment, such as panelboards, transformers, fuses and circuit breakers.
• Familiar with electrical calculations including voltage drop, load flow and short circuit analysis.
• Able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Basics of AutoCAD.

 Job Responsibilities will include:

 Pre-Design Engineering

 Under the direct supervision of a senior engineer:

 -Perform field surveys for the design of electrical systems, gather information and complete load summary.

 -Prepare electrical schematic design

Design Engineering

 Under the direct supervision of a senior engineer:

 -Lighting and power equipment selection

 -Perform lighting and power circuiting

 -Prepare Fire Alarm device layout

 -Design and coordinate lighting control system.

 -Design power single line and riser diagrams

 -Perform electrical calculations using ETAP/SKM.

 -Design fire alarm riser diagrams and sequence of operations.

 -Understand and utilize CAD/BIM standards.

 -Use National Electrical Code and California Codes and Energy Standards.
