Structural Engineer

Centrally based structural engineering company that has developed a strong niche serving the sign and architectural elements industries, designing a wide range of projects throughout the United States. Although about 80% of work is related to signage, also get into more traditional structural and civil engineering. Belief in on-going need for a structural engineer with a range of design experience and a creative approach to projects.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who can manage a project with oversight from proposal phase to construction administration. Sign design experience is a plus, but is not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, design analysis and construction cost estimates
• Perform construction related services including shop drawing reviews, response to requests for information, periodic construction site observation, and occasional specialized structural inspections
• Collaborate with architects and designers and building contractors on design and construction of projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Civil or Structural Engineering
• licensed as a Professional Engineer - preference is for SE licensure
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
