Job Description
Full-time position for a Junior Civil Engineer to work in a small engineering company located in Baton Rouge, LA. The successful candidate will work mainly on solid waste and geotechnical projects, including design, permitting, monitoring, and inspection of landfills.
Bachelor’s Degree or Master Degree in Civil Engineering is required as well as 2 years of experience using AutoCad Civil 3D in a work environment.
Environmental sampling knowledge is desirable, but not required. Requirements include: Able to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 80 pounds; a safe driving record; willing to work on weekends and overtime as required; willing to work on out of town/overnight assignments as required; and authorization to work in the United States. Typical duties will also include performing tasks at field locations, mostly out of town. Individual should be physically fit and able to spend extended hours working outdoors in a wide range of climate conditions. In addition, candidate must have a good attitude, attention to detail, strong reporting skills, and be able to get along well with others. Local candidates preferred; no relocation.
