Job Description
Desired Experience and Role Responsibilities:
- Work in all phases of project, from participation in interviews and proposal writing to managing project set-up, consultant RFP’s, design, CD’s, bidding, contract prep, CA, punchlist and closeout
- Sustain positive and productive client contact for the lifecycle of a project
- Collaborate on, help visualize, and participate in the development of thoughtful design solutions for large and small projects
- Coordinate with project team(s) including architects, interior designers, job captains, graphic designers and engineering consultants
- Coordinate and execute project scheduling, meetings, budgets, consultants, contractors, subs and vendors
- Create and communicate clear and attainable project objectives to project team members
- Managing projects in compliance with project scope and fees, participating in monthly billing and job cost analysis, maintaining fiscal awareness around entire project
- Knowledge of and ability to research and interpret local ordinances, and state and national building codes, requirements and best practices
- Participation in preparation of RFP’s for, selection of, and coordinating consultant teams for Civil, Structural, MEPFP, etc.
- Preparing construction documents and specifications
- Construction administration
- This role reports to firm Principal
Qualifications | Senior Project Architect
- BArch or MArch degree from an accredited university
- Licensed Architect (min. on track for licensing)
- Min 6 years of experience in an architecture firm
- Min 4 working on Projects Including: NYC corporate offices and workplaces
- Fluent in Autocad, InDesign, Excel
- Fluency or familiarity with PhotoShop and SketchUp
- Adaptive Re-use/Historic Preservation a significant plus
- LEED Accreditation a significant plus
