Transportation Construction Engineer

Responsibilities

• Candidate will be responsible for providing daily inspection of construction work within a given discipline to ensure the project is in compliance with plans and specifications
• Provide solutions to mitigate construction problems in the field
• Observe field work to ensure workmanship and materials meet standards
• Direct/assist Construction Inspectors
• Review construction project pay applications and CPM schedules
• Must be able to document the work via ODOT or the Ohio Turnpike's daily inspection report and various other reports.

• Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working on highway/roadway construction projects
• Experience working on ODOT and/or Ohio Turnpike projects is considered a plus
• Bachelor’s degree or greater in Civil or Construction Engineering Technology are a MUST
• Preferred to have passed the FE exam
