Job Description:

This role will be responsible for all aspects of the project design, production, client interface, financial and team management. You will be handling 3-5 projects simultaneously, that are all in different phases of the project design. You will engage sub consultants, coordinate with our in house civil engineering team, our survey crew, and our fueling and planning professionals. You will also be required to assist with the permit approvals from the authorities having jurisdiction.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide all phases of architectural design, production and project management for mostly small to mid-sized retail and commercial projects

·      Direct client interface and coordination to establish design intent and project goals

·      Handle all design, production and delivery of projects

·      Guide design team through the construction documentation and AHJ approval process

·      Code compliance review of projects

·      Coordinate with consultants/contractors during the design and production phase

·      Assist in the design control/construction administration phase of projects

·      Assist in the improvements of firm-wide documentation procedures and standards

·      Support project management in staffing, fee estimating and scheduling

·      Assist Director of Architectural Services with proposals/budget development and project status updates

·      Provide technical guidance to project staff

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture preferred
  • NCARB Registered Architect with current registration in CA, OR and WA preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working on all phases or architectural design, production, and management
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD & Sketch-up or other 3d rendering software
  • Site Planning experience

·      Working Knowledge and Skilled in both AutoDesk and Revit software

·      Strong design skills

·      Experience in a variety of project types retail, commercial, industrial, multi-family, mixed use.

·      Technical understanding of construction types, means, methods and processes

·      Thorough knowledge of codes and regulations

·      Experience in all phases of project delivery

·      Strong oral and written communication skills

·      Excellent presentation, written, verbal, and graphics communication skills essential

·      Familiarity with applicable codes and the ability to research, compile data and apply computations
