The Structural Engineer collaborates with architects, engineers and technicians, and leads the development of project documents that meet client needs and exceed firm standards for quality. In doing so, the Structural Engineer will be responsible for vertical and lateral load calculations, building system design, client communications and management, coordinating manpower assignments and managing project financials, working with industry vendors, and other project related functions.     The Structural Engineer may serve as the overall project manager of Structural prime projects or as the discipline project manager for larger, multi-discipline projects. He/she will ensure all drawings are prepared with accuracy, neatness, and speed, including work prepared by others.
